Queen Excluders offered by us works as a selective barrier inside beehive that allows worker bees but not larger queens & drones to traverse the barrier. This excluder can be either a sheet of perforated metal or plastic or wire grid form in a frame where the openings are limited to 0.163 inches (4.1 mm).

Usage:

• The basic use of queen excluder is to limit queen's access to honey supers
• If queen lays eggs in honey supers & brood develops it is difficult to harvest clean honey product and it makes fall management more difficult
• Our queen excluders prevents queen bee to travel whereas at the same time allows worker bees to freely travel

Recommendation:

• This must be removed in the fall, otherwise queen will not be able to move with winter cluster and will die from exposure
• The death of queen in winter will doom hive unless beekeeper introduces new queen in the spring
